30 Nov 2010 Extended Forecast

Watch for the wind again today. A west-northwest wind will continue to gust up to 30 MPH this afternoon and with plenty of clouds and temperatures in the 20s, some flurries or light snow showers will get going. Wind chill values all day long will likely be from 5-15 degrees above zero.

Out towards western Iowa, many observing sites are reporting an overcast sky and scattered flurries/light snow showers. Due to the warm ground, and lack of moisture, accumulations should be minimal if any at all. This is all happening due to a rush of cold air squeezing moisture out of the cloud deck, leading to the flurry formation.

December starts tomorrow, and it’ll certainly feel that way!
