Central Iowa saw Lt Snow overnite with generally a dusting to near an inch along the I-80 corridor and South. With no change in the pattern - expect more Lt Snowshowers on and off today before the skies go mostly cloudy (M/cloudy) this evening. Expect an inch or less snowfall thru the day....
The next system has developed in SW Kansas and will track ENE into Central Kansas by Late today - and move into Central Mo by Sunday afternoon (Aftn). Meanwhile: As warmer fetch of warm air will ride over cooler surface temps - resulting in early Sunday mixed Rain and Fz Drizzle - change to Rainshowers by mid morning.
As the Low tracks into NE Mo later Sunday, Showers/Thunderstorms will develop and move northward - possibly bringing us short periods of a Rain/Sleet Mix thru the Aftn/Eve - changing to Lt Snow/Wind Overnite lasting into Monday Morning - with up to 2" of Snow in POW Cty. Less amounts West and North. Most of the precip on Sun/Mon will fall south of a line from PIKES PEAK STATE PARK - Vinton - NEWTON/IOWA SPEEDWAY - and extreme SW Iowa. SE Iowa may see 3-6" of Snow.....
LOOK FOR ANOTHER WEATHER MESS SETTING UP AFTER THE 5TH - But not before a storm on the 3rd (much like the one this weekends) appears to pass just to our south - bringing us a mixed bag of precip before changing to snow. Severe weather again in Mo/Ark.....
