SNOWFALL REPORTS: MONTEZUMA 1.0 - NWS JOHNSTON 1.5 - PELLA 2 - TAMA 1.3 - OSKALOOSA 1.8 - CEDAR RAPIDS 1 - WILLIAMSBURG 1.2 - SIGOURNEY 1.3........
A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO IOWA LATE TODAY ENDING THE CHANCES FOR SNOW - BUT WILL ALSO USHER IN SHARPLY COLDER AIR ONCE AGAIN.....
HEADS-UP: THE NEXT SHOT AT SNOW WILL COME TUES/WED. THE FORECAST MODELS ARE TRYING TO INDICATE A SYSTEM DEVELOPING TO OUR SOUTHWEST AND MERGING WITH THE COLDER AIR THAT SINKS IN MON/TUE. RIGHT NOW IT'S LOOKING LIKE THEY WILL MERGE - WITH THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL TO OUR SOUTH AND WEST. HOWEVER, LIKE THE STORM THIS WEEK, 50 MILES IN ANY DEVIATION OF THE STORMTRACK WILL MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE IN SNOW LOCATION AND SNOWFALL TOTALS. AS OF NOW - I GO WITH THE COLD AIR WINNING OUT AND MOST, IF NOT ALL SNOW STAYING SOUTH ALONG THE MO/IOWA BORDER. SOMETHING TO WATCH THOUGH.
