15 March 2011 Extended Forecast

A Ridge of High Pressure will slide East today and allow a weak Low Pressure system to work in to Northern Iowa thru the day.  Expect a very slim shot at some Isolated Rainshowers this evening as the system moves East.....

A stronger system will move out of the Rocky Mtns into Western Iowa late Wed.  Thursday will be unsettled as strong SSW winds force moisture into Central Iowa - the result will be afternoon/evening Tstorms with rain lasting thru midday Monday.......

Temps will be on the climb.  Expect Highs to be near 60 Wed - with High 60's in Pow Cty Thursday.  Some of us may even see the first 70 degree day for 2011....We'll cool back down Friday to the Low 50's, but will stay above normal for mid March.......

Lets not get in a hurry to hit the beach.  Everything is still pointing to a pattern change for the last week of March.  Until then, we'll see above normal temps and above normal precip - with good shots of some severe weather especially in Southern/Eastern Iowa around the 20th +/-.
