2 Mar 2011 Extended Forecast

A quick note:  I'll come out with my Spring Forecast in the next week or so....A heads-up:  As stated back in Sept. in my Winter Forecast, I was looking for a wetter and warmer than normal April - I Have Not changed my mind................

I mentioned in yesterdays Blog that the weather pattern would undergo changes over next 2 weeks or so. Well, here we go......Just for giggles.  Click here to see my Feb 2011 Forecast - Issued on Sept 7th 2010 .  I had mentioned in the forecast that the most active period would be the first two weeks of the month.........

We're entering a very active period as we go into the Winter to Spring transition.  If you read my Blog yesterday, I mentioned, and explained why our weather pattern was going from a 5 Wave pattern to a 3-4 Wave pattern - and ended the Blog with the net result.  The net result being a more active pattern - with storms in mid-section of the country being more frequent.......

Here are the time-frames to look at over the next couple of weeks:

4th/5th - This one looks to heading to our south - brushing the SE 1/2 - 1/3 of the state with a winter mix changing to a quick burst of snow.  More severe weather/major flooding from IL/Mo eastward.

8th - This could very well be the strongest of storms over the period.  The center of this one should pass directly over Iowa - placing the brunt of the Wintry Precip to our North - Needs watched closely tho - Someplace in Iowa/Mn could very well see a FOOT of snow.  I would not be surprised to see Severe Thunderstorms in Iowa.

13th to 16th - This one will be nothing to sneeze at - Rain/Snow.

Around the 18th - Mostly Rain - More Tstorms Possible............
