On this day in Iowa weather history...
1991: A severe weather outbreak produced 12 tornadoes across Iowa including an F3 that tracked from near Huxley to northwest of Eldora. Large hail and high winds were also reported, ranging up to golf ball sized hail at Marshalltown and wind gusts in excess of 85 mph near Guttenberg and West Liberty.
