17 April 2011 Extended Forecast

Nice today with Showers moving in overnite - with Isolated Showers lasting thru Monday along with breezy conditions......


The next system on Tuesday will be a bit stronger and fire Tshowers in Pow Cty.  The heaviest rain will be in the Southeastern 1/3 of the state where an Isolated Severe Storm will be seen on a line and SE from Ottumwa to Fairfield to the Quad Cities.....We'll get a break from the rainfall as High pressure builds in for Wed and Thurs.


Expect more rain/storms Friday.  The potential is there for some very heavy rainfall amounts along with Severe Weather East of I-35.  Showers will persist into Sat morning before drying out for the remainder of the weekend and into Monday.



Today and Mon 17th/18th:  Dry Sun - Showers overnite Sunday into Monday (Breezy) - Temps Mid 50's.

Tues and Wed 19th/20th: Isolated Thunderstorms/Breezy Tues - Dry Wed - Temps Mid 50's.

Thurs and Fri 21st/22nd:  Dry Thurs - Thunderstorms/Hvy Rain Fri (some Storms Srvere) - Temps Mid 50's.

Sat thru Mon 23rd-25th:  Showers/Breezy Sat Morning - Then Dry - Breezy Monday.

Tues and Wed 26th/27th:  Tshowers.

Thurs thru Sat 28th-30th:  Dry.

Sun thru Tues May 1st-3rd:  Storms - Expect Some Severe Storms.
