7 April 2011 Extended Forecast

A Look Ahead:  Expect an unsettled Weather Pattern with shots at Showers and Thunderstorms thru the week.  Total Rainfall Amounts May Reach Over An Inch By Late Sunday.

Temps will be near 60 Today and Friday before increasing to the Mid/High 70's for Saturday and Sunday.....Showers/Storms will develop this afternoon and carry into the overnite hours. Precip will be more scattered thru the day Friday before diminishing by late afternoon/evening.  Saturday should be mainly Dry and Breezy with only scattered afternoon showers.  Sunday will be much more active.  Thunderstorms (some Severe) will develop in Southwest Iowa and move into Central Iowa around Noon.  Hail will be the greatest threat with these storms, but an Isolated Tornado can't be rulled out - especially East of I-35 and South of I-80.  Storms will continue into the overnite hours Sunday. 

Monday thru Wednesday:  Monday will be Windy and cooler with morning showers - Dry by later in the day.  Tues and Wed will be Breezy with Lt Rain thru the period.  Rain will end Late Wed.  High Temps will be in the Low/Mid 60's.

Thursday thru Sunday:  Much Warmer.  Breezy Friday and lasting into the weekend.  Dry thru Later Saturday, then Showers and Storms into Sunday............
