EXPECT ISOLATED SHOWERS/STORMS TODAY AND THIS EVENING. MOST OF THE ACTIVITY SHOULD BE CONFINED IN THE EXTREME NORTHERN PART OF THE COUNTY. PERIODIC THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BEGIN IN EARNEST TUESDAY NIGHT...AND CONTINUE INTO FRIDAY NIGHT. SOME OF THE STORMS MAY BE SEVERE...WITH THE MOST LIKELY PERIOD OF SEVERE WEATHER BEING WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT. THE MAIN THREAT WILL BE FOR HIGH WINDS AND HAIL - WITH THE POSSIBLITY OF AN INCH OF RAIN THRU POW COUNTY.

Today and Tues 9th/10th: Isolated Tshowers/Breezy this afternoon and evening - Dry/Breezy most of Tues - Then Overnite Tstorms - Temps 80/88.
Wed and Thurs 11th/12th: Tstorms Wed in to Thurs Morning (Some Severe Possible - 1+ Inch Rain) - then Dry - Temps 83/75.
Fri and Sat 13th/14th: Isolated Showers/Breezy - Temps Low 60's.
Week of the 15th thru 22nd: Dry most of the week with Showers and Storms developing around the 22nd. Temps will be Seasonal in Low/Mid 70's.
A Weather Pattern Change will have taken place by Mid Month forcing an active storm system into North and Western Iowa (North of I-80, and along and West of I-35). This will put Poweshiek County an afternoon and evening Isolated Thunderstorm scenario. Expect Severe Weather and Heavier Rains near the area mentioned above - with Poweshiek County rainfall at or just above seasonal normals - Rainfall in South and Eastern Iowa will be Below Normal.
