11 June 2011 Pow Cty Extended Forecast

Dry today as weak high pressure pushes into Central Iowa - Temps will be in the Mid 70's.

The remainder of the week will be unsettled as weak upper levels disturbances will be moving west to east across Iowa every 24-36 hours.  That, coupled with a stationary front just to our south means seasonal temps and almost daily shots at Isolated Tshowers.  We could easily see a couple inches of rain from Sunday thru Wed.  The next completely dry day looks to be Thursday. By late Friday, a very strong Low pressure system will have developed in Kansas and begin to track Northeast into Southern Iowa.  Expect Severe Weather and heavier rainfall Friday or Saturday.
