3 June 2011 Extended Pow Cty Forecast

Big Warm-up today - Temps reaching the 90's thru-out Central Iowa.

A cool front move into Northern Iowa tonite and stall west to east (approx along the I-80 corridor).  This will put all of Iowa in an Isolated Tstorm situation Sat and Sun.  We should see a couple rounds of storms beginning Sat morning and lasting thru Sun Afternoon.  Right now it looks the heaviest rain will fall Sun morning - expect up to 3/4" of rainfall thru Sun night.... 


Today and Sat 3rd/4th:  Dry/Breezy Fri - Isolated Tshowers Sat - Temps Near 90/84.

Sun thru Tues 5th-7th:  Tshowers Sun - Dry Mon - Tshowers/Breezy Tues - Temps Mid/High 80's.

Wed and Thurs 8th/9th: Dry Wed - Tshowers Thurs After Noon - Temps Mid 80's.

Fri thru Sun 10th-12th: Dry Fry - Isolated Tshowers Sat/Sun - Temps Low 80's.

Mon thru Sun 13th-19th:  Unsettled week - storms will develop off the NW U.S. Coast and move West to East - putting Iowa in strong southerly flow - increasing moisture and pushing temps to at or above normal - expect weak to moderate storms systems to move across Northern Iowa about every 24 hours.

Fri and Sat 17th/18th:  Storms and Warmer.
