4 June 2011 Extended Pow Cty Forecast

POW COUNTY WEATHER:  SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE PUSHING ACROSS NORTHERN IOWA AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA THIS MORNING AND MOVE INTO POW CTY BEFORE 11AM - ISOLATED TSHOWERS WILL REMAIN THRU CENTRAL IOWA THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY - WITH THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL SOUTH OF THE I-80 CORRIDOR....A COOL FRONT SPARKING THE SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL STALL ACROSS SOUTHERN IOWA TONITE BRINGING ADDITIONAL CHANCES OF STORMS ON SUNDAY.  SOME OF THE STORMS WILL BE STRONGER ALONG THE STALLED FRONT.


Today 4th:  Temp 84 - Isolated Tshowers by 11am will increase in coverage thru the afternoon and evening.

Sun thru Tues 5th-7th:  Isolated Tshowers Sun into Mon Morning (Weekend Rainfall Total 1/2" - 3/4") - Then Dry - Isolated Tshowers/Breezy Tues - Temps 85/90/92.

Wed and Thurs 8th/9th: Dry/Breezy Wed - Tshowers Thurs - Temps 90/85.

Fri thru Sun 10th-12th: Tshowers/Windy Fri/Sat - Dry Sun - Temps Low 80's.

Mon thru Sun 13th-19th:  Unsettled week - storms will develop off the NW U.S. Coast and move West to East - putting Iowa in strong southerly flow - increasing moisture and pushing temps to at or above normal - expect weak to moderate storms systems to move across Northern Iowa about every 24 hours - with the strongest by late week.

Fri and Sat 17th/18th:  Storms and Warmer.
