An active weather pattern will be in place over central Iowa for the coming week. Upper level disturbances will parade across the state every 24 to 36 hours. At the surface...a frontal boundary will be near or across Southern Iowa. This will mean slightly warmer temperatures and periods of thunderstorms. Some storms will be severe but the position of the frontal boundary and the timing of the upper level disturbances will be key to where the severe storms will exist. The best shot at Severe Weather appears to be later Monday and again late week as strong low pressure develops in Kansas and moves into Southern Iowa late Friday. Heavy rain is also possible - especially Monday Nite into Midday Tuesday.
