Thurs, 30 June 2011 Extended Pow County Forecast

Welcome to summer!  Hot-Hot-Hot.  Heat Index above 100F!!!.......By looking at the forecast below, it's looks like a total rain-out for the next week or so.  However, it's summer in Iowa and afternoon Tshowers will pop. Over the next 7 days, there is only one real system to affect us.  A cool front will push into Central Iowa by later Fri and stall over the Ia/Mo Border.  This will be the focus  Isolated Tshowers thru the week.  In this set up, it's likely we'll see Tshower activity during the evening and overnite hours.  Timing is next to impossible - and rainfall amounts should remain minimal - with greater amounts along the stalled front to our south..... The 4th?  Still looking mainly dry with later afternoon Isolated Tshowers. Not a Fireworks rain-out.

Today 29th: Dry/Breezy - Temp 92.

Fri and Sat July 1st/2nd: Breezy Fri - Tstorms Fri Afternoon into Late Evening - Dry Sat - then Tshowers by Evening - Temps 94/88.

Wed and Thurs 6th/7th: Tstorms Wed Eve into Thurs - Temps Low 80's.

Fri and Sat 8th/9th: Tshowers Fri - Cool/Dry Sat.
