Saturday, 30 July 2011 Extended Pow County Forecast




Dry through Later Tues - then stormy.  The heat and humidity return to central Iowa Sunday with high temperatures rising back above 90 with heat index values exceeding 100 degrees. The warmest days will be be Monday and Tuesday before a cool frontal boundary moves through late Tuesday sparking showers and storms in it's wake - then cooler temps after Wed.  After the front passes, it will stall between the Hwy 92 and Hwy 34 corridors - keeping Pow County near the bulls-eye of a Heavy Rain/Strong Storm episode sometime Thursday.


Today thur Tuesday 30th to Aug 2nd:  Dry - Temps near 90 Today - Low/Mid 90's by Sunday with Heat Index near 105 lasting thru Tues.

Wed thur Sat 3rd-6th:  Tstorms early morning Wed lating thru Thurs with possible Heavy Rain/Strong Storms Thurs - Then Dry - Temps Mid/High 80's.

Sun and Mon 7th/8th: Isolated Tshowers - Temps Mid 80's.

Tues and Wed 9th/10th: Dry - Temps Low 80's.

Thurs thru Sun 11th/14th: Tshowers Thurs - Then Dry - Temps Low 80's.

Mon 15th:  Tshowers.
