Friday, 5 August 2011 Extended Pow County Forecast

Scattered thunderstorms are possible later today , with additional thunderstorm activity possible overnite Saturday night into Sunday as a cold front slides southeast through Central Iowa. Some storms may be severe north of I-80. A reinforcing shot of cooler air will move into the area behind another cold front and possible round of thunderstorms early Tuesday. High temperatures are expected to only top out in the 70s to around 80 by Tuesday into Wednesday of next week.


Today and Sat 5th/6th: Dry - May see an Isolated Tshowers around 6pm - Then Dry Sat - Temps 84/88.

Sun and Mon 7th/8th: Isolated Tshowers early Sun Morning - then Dry - Temps Low 80's.

Tues and Wed 9th/10th: Tshowers early Tues - then Dry Wed - Temps near 80.

Thurs thru Sun 11th/14th: Mainly Dry thru the period with Isolated Showers Sat - Temps Low 80's.

Mon thru Thurs 15th-18th: Tshowers Mon/Tues - Dry Wed/Thurs - Temps Mid/High 80's.

Fri and Sat 19th/20th: Tshowers - Low 90's.

Sun 21st:  Dry/Cooler.
