Expect a nice day today... A weak upper level system located over Eastern Wy this morning will move into Western later tonite and into Central Iowa by mid morning Tuesday - expect Isolated Tshowers in its wake thru the day Tuesday - up to 1/4"+ rain should fall with this one Tuesday evening....
After a morning shower Wed, high pressure will build into the state thru Thursday. Temps will increase well above seasonal into the Low 90's by Thurs afternoon - with a stiff SW breeze. By Thurs evening, a warm front will have developed out Low Pressure in NW Iowa stretching NW to SE across the state. Tstorms will fire along the trailing cold front in NW Iowa and move thru Pow County Friday - the strongest storms (Possibly Severe Weather) and most beneficial rainfall appears to stay in Northern Iowa - with Central Iowa picking up less than 1/4".
Something good for us? A Tropical System may develop in Gulf of Mexico this weekend. We need that to happen to break the back of this dry spell.
