Sunday, 14 August 2011 Extended Pow County Forecast

After some early morning fog, today will be another quiet and pleasant day. The next chance for rain will spread eastward through Iowa on late Monday, as an area of low pressure slides west to east. The storm chances will continue through Tuesday, before things begin to dry out on Wednesday morning. There will be a few more chances for thunderstorms later in the week and into next weekend.

Rainfall over the next week looks sporadic with areas in Central Iowa looking at mainly 1/2" thru next Sunday.  Some of us could see upwards of 3/4" south of I-80.  Severe weather looks unlikely in Central Iowa - the exception being extreme NE Iowa, SE Mn, and Western Wi on Wednesday with the main threat being Hail and Straight Line Winds......
