Tuesday, 16 August 2011 Extended Pow County Forecast

The weather will be active across Iowa the remainder of the week as several upper level disturbances and a couple of frontal passages bring thunderstorm. There will be a couple of rounds of storms today. The storms this morning will bring some moderate to heavy rainfall mainly west of Pow County.  We could see up to 1/4"-1/2" before ending Wed morning.   Storms this afternoon could be strong. Additional storms are possible Friday and Saturday (Some of those storms could be severe in Se Neb, SW Iowa, Ne Ks, and Mo).


Today 16th: Breezy - Tshowers - Temps 81.

Wed and Thurs 17th/18th:  Isolated Tshowers into mid-day Wed (1/4" Rain) - then Dry Wed Aftn/Thurs - Temps 82/84.

Fri thru Mon 19th-22nd: Breezy - Isolated Tshowers Late Fri into midday Sat (1/4" Rain) - then Dry Sun/Mon - Temps Low/Mid 80's.

Tues and Wed 23rd/24th: Isolated Showers - Temps Mid 80's.

Thurs thru Sat 25th-27th: Dry Thurs/Fri - Tshowers Sat - Temps Mid 80's.

Sun thru Tues 28th-30th: Dry Sun - Tshowers Tues - Dry Wed - Temps High 70's.

Wed and Thurs 31st/1st Sept:  STORMY.
