Tuesday, 9 August 2011 Extended Pow County Forecast

A cold front extending from northern Minnesota into South Dakota will move southeast across Central Iowa today, and be to our southeast tonight. Gusty northwest winds will usher in a hint of early fall weather tonight and Wednesday as cooler and drier air overspreads the entire state. Temperatures are expected to remain a few degrees below normal for the next several days.

The next shot at rainfall will come later Friday and last into early Saturday as Low Pressure moves in.  Most of Saturday looks dry - Sunday is shaping up to be the nicest day with temps near 80.  Temps will be at, or just below normal thru mid next week when temps rebound back to the mid/high 80's as the pattern becomes unsettled.....


Today and Wed 9th-10th:  Breezy Today - Dry - Temps 80/78.

Thurs thru Sun 11th-14th: Mainly Dry thru the period with Isolated TShowers Fri into early Sat - Temps 76-80.

Mon thru Thurs 15th-18th: Unsettled with   Isolated Tshowers - Temps Low 80's increasing to High 80's.

Fri thru Mon 19th-22nd: Dry - Temps near 80.

Tues and Wed 23rd/24th:  Tshowers.
