LOW PRESSURE OVER CENTRAL ILLINOIS WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE CLOUD COVER OVER SOUTHEAST IOWA AND LOCATIONS TO THE SOUTH AND EAST. ISOLATED SHOWERS AND A THUNDERSTORM IS POSSIBLE OVER SOUTHEAST IOWA. THE LOW WILL FINALLY SHIFT SOUTH THEN EAST AND
MOVE AWAY FOR THE REST OF THE WEEKEND.
A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL PUSH ACROSS IOWA BY TUESDAY. THERE IS ALMOST NO MOISTURE WITH SYSTEM, SO RAINFALL WILL BE LIMITED AND CONFINED MAINLY TO NE IOWA - EXPECT GUSTY NORTH WINDS IN POW COUNTY TUESDAY AND WED. TEMPS WILL BE IN THE MID/HIGH 80'S THRU CENTRAL IOWA. HOWEVER...BY MIDWEEK HIGH TEMPS WILL TUMBLE INTO THE 60S TO LOWER 70S WITH LOWS IN THE UPPER 30S IN NORTHERN IOWA TO UPPER 40S SOUTH. LOW LYING LOCATIONS ACROSS FAR NORTHEAST IOWA AND MINNESOTA COULD BE LOOKING AT THE FIRST FROST OF THE SEASON BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.

Rainfall: Showers 18th and 19th - Otherwise Dry.
Temps: Mid to High 80's thru Monday (12th) then dropping to the Mid/High 60's thru the 20th.
Significant Winds: Gusty North Wind Tuesday/Wed (13th/14th).
21st thru 27th.
A significant weather pattern change is in the works between the 21st and 24th. Expect Showers/Storms around the 21st, along with Very Windy Conditions for the 21st/22nd. Otherwise, it will be dry and relatively calm thru the 27th. High Temps will take a real nose dive from the 21st-24th dropping as much as 15-20 degrees below normal (May see our first Frost of the year). They will rebound to the mid 60's after the 24th.
