The Upper Low I've talked about for past couple days has continued to drift slowly to the south and west and is sparking showers over Northeast and Eastern Iowa. Expect very Isolated Showers to move into Pow County during this afternoon - I don't these showers as a "show-stopper". They will be very widely scattered today.
Tomorrow will bring a better shot at showers as the Low tracks well into the eastern half of the state. The low center will remain along the Miss River and drag additional moisture into Southeast Iowa as a secondary low forms in Northern Mo. This will keep the heaviest rainfall amounts to our easts as well. Expect up to 3/4" of rain on a line and east from Ottumwa-Cedar Rapids-Dubuque - with less amounts west. The rain/no rain line should not reach any further west than I-35.
Low pressure will kick east by Monday Eve and high pressure will take its place. Tuesday thru Friday will be more seasonal. We'll be dry with temps increasing to near 70 Tuesday - and High 70's to near 80 Wed and Thursday. A weak/dry cool front will move thru Friday, cooling us back to seasonal.
Today thru Next Friday 25th thru 30th:
Mainly Dry thru the period except for an Isolated shower this afternoon thru Monday. Showers will be more numerous Monday (Breezy) - rainfall will be under 1/4" in Pow Cty (higher amounts east). High Temps will range from the Low 60's thru Monday to near 70 Tue, and near 80 Wed/Thurs (Breezy Thurs) - back to Mid 60's Fri. Low Temps will increase from Low 40's Today to the Lower 50's next week.
Sat thru Fri 1-7 Oct:
Showers on the 3rd.
High Temps: Low/Mid 70's (Near 60 3rd-5th). Lowest Temp: Low to Mid 30's on the 3rd/4th.

15-21 Day (8-14 Oct) Forecast Sat thru Fri:

High Temps: Low/Mid 60's dropping to near 50.
May see our first Hard Freeze after the 10th.
