Tuesday, 13 Sept 2011 Extended Pow County Forecast

A second cold front is forecast to push thru Iowa today - giving us periods of clouds in Pow County and showers to the south (south of Hwy 34). Unseasonably cold temperatures are expected to filter into the state tonight and may lead to an extended period of below freezing temperatures across northern Iowa through Thursday morning. Patchy frost is possible in Pow County Thurs morning.

Fair and cool weather is expected to continue thru the rest of the week.  Isolated showers and gusty south winds will return over the weekend, but the best shot at any measurable rainfall will come Monday into Tuesday as a fairly strong cold front dives south out of North Dakota - Gusty north winds will once again take our high temps below the seasonal normal by next Tuesday.
