Weather Headlines:
Dry with seasonal temps today and Friday.
Reminates of Tropical Storm Lee retrogrades west bringing isolated showers to east/southeast Iowa Friday.
Next Week Weather Headlines:
Windy Tuesday - Breezy Thursday and Friday.
Showers Tuesday and Friday into Saturday.
Temps will range from near 70 to the low 80's (It's Fall).
Although weaken slightly, high pressure will remain in control of our weather for the week ahead. Reminates of "Old Tropical Storm" Lee has pushed into the Ohio Valley and is forecast to slowly retrograde westward over the next 24-36 hours. By midday Friday, weak low pressure will have moved into NW Missouri. Mostly cloudy conditions will be the rule in Pow County - Expect shower development in east/southeast Iowa as a result (Mainly south and east of line from Bloomfield to Fairfield, to Washington, and on to to Davenport).
Next week will be a bit more unsettled as a couple systems move into the NW U.S. and plunge southward into Arizona and New Mexico. As the upper level flow increases from the west, low pressure will develop in the eastern Rocky Mtns, in turn increasing the southerly flow thru Iowa and pushing our temps above normal early in the week. The first system will move thru Iowa on Tuesday giving us our first shot at a good shower in two weeks. Expect the second, and stronger system to move thru or Friday or Saturday. This system could be a soaker - just have to wait and see.
