Thursday, 20 October 2011 Extended Pow County Forecast

Pow County Freeze Warning Tonite thru 9am Friday............

One more day of breezy conditions before High pressure moves over Iowa tonight. The high will bring clear skies and light winds allowing temps to drop below freezing tomorrow morning. A warming trend will begin Friday with highs reaching the 60s tomorrow, and even widespread 70's into the weekend.

The next system will enter Iowa late Sunday with most of the showers activity staying to the north of Pow County - at best, we will be mostly cloudy by late weekend.

By Tuesday of next week, Low Pressure will have formed in western Neb - this system will move thru Iowa quickly thru the day Tues, firing showers with an Isolated Tstorm ahead of it.  By late Tues/early Wed, a much cooler airmass will have pushed well into Iowa.  Expect a light snow shower behind the front thru the day Wed - along with a very gusty north wind.  High temps for the remainder of next week will struggle in the 40's, with overnite lows dropping into mid/high 20's. 


Today (19th) thru Saturday (22nd):
Dry thru Saturday. Breezy Today with Northerly Gusts to 25mph. High Temps 55/60/65.  Low Temp Fri morning 30 - Sat morning 36.

Sunday (23rd) thru Sunday (30th):
Rainfall: Tshower 25th. - Snow showers 26th.
Very Windy 25th/26th. Daytime Temps will be in the Mid 60's, dropping to Low/Mid 40's after 25th. Low Temps dropping to 25-30 after 26th.

Monday (31st) thru Fri (Nov 4th):
Dry/Breezy, and Warmer with High Temps in Mid 60's thru Wed.  Showers Wed - then Dry with High Temps dropping to the Low/Mid 50's.
