The heaviest rain fell in a band overnite from SW Pow County to NE Pow County where .6" fell in the SW, and 1.2" fell in the NE. Up to .5" fell either side of that line.
Expect rain and breezy conditions to continue thru the day today - with periodic midday breaks. Rain will pick up in intensity later this afternoon and last in to the evening hours with additional rainfall amounts of 3/4" - 1". Rain will mix with snow by midnite, and eventually change to all snow after 3am Wed.
The heaviest snow overnite and into Wed morning will fall west of a line from Waterloo - Newton, to Lamoni where 2-4" of snow can be expected - Up to an Inch in most of Pow County - 1-2" north of I-80 before ending around noon Wed. Should see mainly all rain to the east and south of Pow County.
Today Tues (8th):
Rain/Breezy (1" additional Rain in Pow County - 1-2" East) - Rain/Snow Mix before midnite. High Temp dropping to 40 by 6pm.
Wed (9th) thru Wed (16th):
Rainfall: Breezy/Snowshowers Wed before ending around Noon (Expect an inch of snow in Pow County, with up to 4" mainly along a Waterloo-Newton-Lamoni Line) - Dry/Seasonal/Breezy 10th thru 12th - Rainshowers/Breezy 13th/14th, Snowshower and Windy on the 15th - Dry 16th.
Thursday (17th) thru Wed (23rd): Dry thru 21st - Rainshower on the 22nd - Rain to Snow/Wind 23rd/24th.
