A messy and uncertain week ahead. After a High Temp today of 30, Temps will rebound above normal to the High 30's to Low 40's thru the middle of next week. On the flip-side of that, we'll see a mix of winter precipitation for the next 5 or 6 days.
We'll be dry today and Sunday before a system develops to our west which will increase the low level moisture by early Monday. Expect Lt Drizzle/Freezing Drizzle Monday, changing to all Lt Rain Tuesday (may see rain/snow mix Tues nite). A High Temp near 40 Wed will keep us on the rain side of system, then change to Lt Snow Thursday as the system thru moves across Iowa. Snow totals are uncertain because it's highly dependent on exactly when the rain changes to snow. This scenario would normally bring "plowable" snowfall to Central Iowa, but so far this winter, it's been anything but normal. I'll get a better handle on it by Monday.......
Today (10th) thru Monday (12th):
Dry Today/Sun - Lt Freezing Dz/Fog Monday. High Temps: 30/40/37.
Tuesday (13th) thru Tuesday (20th):
Lt Rain thru the day Tues - Lt Rain/Snow late.
Rain Wed changing to Rain/Snow late. Lt Snow/Windy Thurs. Then Dry thru Sun - Snowshowers Mon/Tues - High Temps High 30's, dropping to High 20's after Thursday.
