Tues, 7 Dec 2011 Extended Pow County Forecast

Expect dry conditions today before an upper level system spreads Lt Snow across the southern half of Iowa by later Thursday and last into the overnite hours.  The bulk of the snow will fall south of I-80, with the heaviest snowfall south of Hwy 34.

Lt Snow will move into Pow County between 3pm and 5pm Thursday.  We should see a 10-12 hour period of very Lt Snow before ending around sunrise Friday - dropping about an inch of snow in Pow County and points west and east.....1"-2" in Ottumwa, and 2"-4" along the Ia/Mo Border.       


Today (7th) thru Monday (12th):
Dry Today - Snowshowers Thurs and Monday (Around 1" Accumulation Expected). High Temps: Mainly High 20's/Low 30's (exception - near 40 Sun/Mon).

Tuesday (13th) thru Tuesday (20th).
Rain/Breezy 14th/15th - Lt Snow/Windy 16th - Otherwise Dry thru the period.
